Context

433 is a retail website focused on selling wallets, electronics, and other miscellaneous gifts. The project consisted of creating a responsive webpage from conceptualization to finished product, with a focus on accessibility from the beginning to ensure a product useable by all.

Result

Over a period of three weeks, I worked as Designer, I developed the Brand Identity, Site Maps, and a working prototype. Brand Identity consists of purples, whites, and blacks, to showcase elegance of items along with affordability. The Design emphasizes usability and intuitiveness, with a focus on a streamlined user experience. Both aspects of the design act in conjunction to allow for inclusivity and elegance.

The Process

With an established name and logotype, development moved on to more specific design elements. The color identity was developed first, based around the goal of signaling elegance and affordability to users. Blacks and purples are used to signal elegance while the pink and blue are used as colors of emphasis and accents.

Once colors were established rough sketches were promptly turned into wireframes, for both Desktop and Mobile Devices.

The wireframes were then user tested to check their intuitiveness for the average user. Beyond that I went out of my way to ensure that users of various backgrounds, especially those with disabilities that may make navigation difficult, could easily use the website. After collecting various notes the changes were implemented into the Final Deliverable.

Conclusion

Using the information gathered from User Testing, various adjustments were made to the Final Deliverable; those included changes to colors, text size, and text content to make design more accessible. To view the working prototype click the button below.
