Context
Cal Poly Pomona Gamer’s Union is a student organization focusing on tabletop gaming, from board games to Table Top Roleplaying Games. This project aimed to expand an existing Brand Identity and to uphold its legacy. The identity consists of various references to table top games, from dice to dragons.
Result
As Publicity Officer and then Contractor for Cal Poly Pomona Gamer’s Union, I created various pieces of collateral to be used for the club. These included merchandise, master files and templates to be used during club meetings, collateral used in club events, and promotional materials used for club advertising.

The Update
When looking at the older files a few issues arose that needed to be fixed. Primarily there was a need to modernize the file and logo so they could be responsive on various devices. The issue was solved by recreating the logo as seen on the right.
Designs at the time were mostly connected to creation of templates and ensuring that merchandise for members could be properly ordered and printed. Once all was completed the clubs 10th Anniversary arrived, which allowed for a partial redesign. Due to the desire of club officials to uphold club legacy rather than do a full redesign, a secondary sub-brand was created, such that the primary Brand can be used and is still identifiable, especially with Alumni.

Taking Stride with Pride
As the club grew in size I consulted with the club officials and Advisor in order to create a Pride T-shirt for members. The design uses a 6-sided die with each die having the colors of a pride flag on it. The shirt was a success and lead to a safe space as the club continues to grow. Due to the design the clubs attendance, at the time, doubled.
